Born in Egypt and raised in the United States by a single father who worked multiple jobs to provide for his family, Dr. Ogunleye’s early life was shaped by sacrifice, discipline, and an unshakable belief in the power of education. That foundation propelled her to make history as the youngest graduate ever of Howard University College of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at just 23 years old, a milestone that marked the beginning of an extraordinary career.

Dr. Ogunleye is the founder of Amira Aesthetics, a boutique cosmetic dental practice and education platform in Miami known for delivering elite, natural-looking aesthetic outcomes through precision-driven, patient-centered care. Through her clinical excellence and consistency, she has become a trusted dentist to influential leaders across sports, entertainment, and business, solidifying her reputation as one of America’s premier cosmetic dentists and an international destination for smile transformations. She has developed a reputation as a “dentist to the stars,” working with professional athletes from the NBA and NFL and celebrities like LeBron James, Gabrielle Union, Lil Wayne , Dwyane Wade and more.

While her entrepreneurial and clinical success is widely celebrated, Dr. Ogunleye’s legacy is equally defined by her purpose-driven impact. Having grown up without consistent access to medical or dental care, she has dedicated her career to dismantling systemic inequities in healthcare. She provides extensive annual pro bono dental services, including screenings, cleanings, orthodontic care, and life-changing smile makeovers for underserved individuals and families, restoring not only oral health, but dignity, confidence, and opportunity.

A trailblazer in dental equity, Dr. Ogunleye is the founder of impAct with Dr. A, a national mentorship and advocacy initiative created to increase diversity, representation, and leadership within dentistry. Over the course of her career, she has mentored and provided shadowing opportunities to more than 1,000 dental students and early-career clinicians, the majority from underrepresented backgrounds, intentionally expanding access to elite training, leadership visibility, and professional advancement in a field where fewer than 5% of dentists identify as Black. 

Building on this work, Dr. Ogunleye has partnered with national organizations, including the National Dental Association and corporate sponsors, to support scholarship initiatives that provide substantial financial resources to minority dental students across the United States. These programs are designed to remove economic barriers, increase matriculation and retention, and directly address the racial representation gap in dentistry.
